FAQs

Can I be sedated?
No. Unfortunately at our office you cannot be sedated for wisdom teeth extraction. If you desire to be sedated for wisdom teeth, please contact an oral surgeon.

How long does it take to recover and resume a normal routine?
5-10 days. Depending on how you feel, you can typically return to your daily routine in 2-5 days after procedure just take it easy until you are fully healed.

How can I avoid getting dry socket?

  • DO NOT suck on candies or foods. DO NOT suck on straws.
  • Eat soft foods or foods that don’t require a lot of chewing (Soft foods include pudding, broth, soups, ice cream, apple sauce, mashed potatoes, etc.) Crunchy or hard foods can get pieces of
  • food stuck in the extraction site and dislodge the blood clots.
  • Keep the area around the extraction site clean by performing mouth rinses as explained in the “Post-Operation Instructions”.
