As we age, it’s inevitable that we will have some tooth wear, damage, and decay. A dental crown or “cap” is a restorative procedure that protects the healthy part of the damaged tooth. At Brigham City Smiles we offer porcelain crowns that look and function like a normal tooth. This procedure is a quick 2 appointment process and will have you leaving with a happy smile.

If you have a missing tooth, a bridge is a great option for you. A bridge is a fake tooth that is held in by the teeth on either side of the missing tooth. Brigham City Smiles also offers bridges in porcelain to give the allusion that the teeth are natural. A bridge is a great and affordable alternative to a dental implant. Schedule your consult today!

FAQ’s

What types of crowns do we have available?
Porcelain

How should I care for my temporary crown?

  • Avoid sticky or chewy foods such as caramel and candies.
  • Chew the majority of your food on the other side of your mouth.
  • Avoid hard foods that can break the temporary crown (raw veggies, nuts, etc)
  • While flossing your teeth, slide the floss out from between your teeth rather than lifting or pulling it out in an upward motion. This may cause the temporary crown to pop off.

How long do crowns last?
The lifespan of a crown can last approximately 5-15 years.

How much does a dental bridge cost?
Prices vary depending on how many teeth are used in the bridge, location of the bridge, and complexity of placing it. Call our office for an estimate at (435) 734-2248.

Should I get a bridge or an implant?
There are pros and cons to both. Implant are considered more of a permanent solution whereas, depending on care, bridges may need to be replaced in the future. Consult with Dr. Murdock or Dr. Sutton to decide the best option for you.
